Support advancement of productions by providing or renting required equipment.Assist with the video components of the venue.Coordinate and oversee the installation, operation, removal, proper lighting storage, special effects (including pyrotechnics), cueing, and musician lighting during show load-in, run, and load-out.Function as a safety point of contact for the Electrics department. Ensure safe use of all backstage equipment, including forklifts, personnel lifts, and rigging systems.

Update the ETCNet Network to facilitate communication between our network and a visiting show.Prepare the lighting control consoles (EOS Ti and ETC Expression) for programming and operation.At all times, this position will appropriately represent the Center to clients, crew, and staff. Working with the Electricians In-Charge, this position is responsible for the smooth load-in, run, and load-out of all the theatrical lighting and electrical-related aspects for each production. The Assistant Head Electrician serves as the primary programmer for productions and events within Segerstrom Center for the Arts venues and supervises and runs the Center’s Electrics department.
